In order to simplify, I am combining my love for the pretty with my love for painting.

Jonesie Cake is running a special from now until Easter Sunday ( April 12th)...
During the same evening, the group has also chosen to honor local designer Louis Verdad. His sumptuous 'Louver Collection' will be showcased installation-style alongside photography by August Bradley and a film by Robertino Fonseca, both of which pay homage to the designer and his work.
Although the name 'Downtown LA Fashion Evening' might seem more appropriate, the group, which refers to itself as "an environmental and cultural collaborative of fashion, art and music," has stated that it plans to expand its scope in the fall. We've heard that one before, but it seems like as promising a start as any.The line, named McQ Alexander McQueen for Target, will be inspired by British rock band The Duke Spirit and will be priced within the retailer’s cheap-chic price range. (Designer Jonathan Saunder’s current pieces for Target include skirts for $18.89 and dresses for $27.99, for example.) The retailer notes that the new program differs from its GO International lines in which emerging designers like Proenza Schouler and Luella Bartley have created limited-edition lines for Target.
Duke Spirit Band - Inspiration for McQueen's Target Line
Target has had success with such partnerships so far — its Anya Hindmarch line of handbags sold out minutes after it started selling online in early October. The retailer says it will announce future collaborations with established designers for the new program throughout next year.

Collabs: The First Photos of McQueen for Target
We also learn that McQueen wasn't always a fan of Target, or rather, he 'never understood' it. "But the idea of spreading his name appealed to the designer. 'Apart from the East and West Coasts, my company doesn’t have any visibility in the U.S.,' he said. 'I always liked the idea of people in the Midwest wearing my clothes.'" Included with the article are two looks from McQ Alexander McQueen for Target, and an extended description of the line, which sounds very rock 'n roll. And kids, there are McQueen for Target prom dresses. Cue squealing.
This amazes me.
This is a collection of pretty things I love and use as inspiration for my own creativity as a designer.
